In TechCrunch’s report of today’s US Spotify launch they describe it as a web service… No wonder a majority of US commenters are complaining they already have Pandora, last.fm, Grooveshark.
The temptation to wade in and say “Ah… But you don’t have Spotify. You don’t have a desktop client, with a music player interface that streams any track in its catalogue to your speakers as cleanly and easily as iTunes. You have YouTube scrapers and restricted radio services and samplers. Spotify will be your God and you will erect a makeshift altar out of old CDs to it and you will kneel…”
I started to say that, then thought better. Which I guess is what Google Plus is for. Preach to the converted. Much lower chance of being flamed for douchebaggery. So much more civil.
